The glass break detector supported by Viva is supplied by Climax. It is an acoustic glass break sensor.
Installation of a glass break detector is done by selecting Devices from the menu in the Viva app, clicking Install new... and selecting the Glass break detector.
Once a device is installed, it can be deleted by selecting the correct glass break detector from the list under Devices, selecting Delete and following the instructions.
If the device is disconnected or without power, the user will be updated from the app within twelve and a half hours.
The glass break detector comes with a tamper switch.
If a devices is unresponsive, or the gateway is no longer available, the device can be factory reset using the following process:
- Unscrew the safety screw and open the device.
- Hold the button for 10 seconds.
- Your device is now factory reset.
