All new Samsung phones include an application called Smart Manager. Smart Manager will turn on optimisations for many applications, restricting their access to the system including location services. 

A key part of the Viva platform is detecting when you are at home, enabling the system to automatically adjust the security, heating and home automation devices. For the best performance on your Samsung phone, Viva needs to have the optimisations turned off by setting our app to "Disabled For" in the following way:  

  1. Open the Smart manager app on your mobile phone
  2. Enter the Battery section
  3. Press the Detail button in the App optimisation section and select the Viva app from the list
  4. Change the app optimization to "Disabled for"
