When a smart bulb is turned OFF/ON by a physical switch in the home, it will disconnect from the power and thus from the network. When the bulb is reconnected to the power, it is expected that the bulb will retrieve it's default settings for color and brightness level.
To avoid this, it is recommended to turn ON/OFF bulbs from the smartphone app. This way, the bulb is never disconnected from power.
